Abstract The use of most antibiotics has been restricted and banned in finfish shrimp farms due to several reasons comprising their long-lasting persistence aquatic environments, relatively high prices, ability promote the existence antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Hence, finding economical, natural, environmentally safe alternatives is great importance. polyphenols, polyphenol-rich plants, plant-derived phenolic compounds for promoting animal health welfare could be from effective strategies developing aquafeed maintaining sustainability aquaculture industry. Several plants are gorgeous various bioactive functional ingredients known as phytochemicals polyphenols. Phenolic successfully used natural immunostimulants order raise immunity species against bacterial, viral, parasitic infections thus may replace antimicrobial agents. Besides potential roles improvement growth performance, intestinal health, enhancing antioxidant capacity treated animals. Even though trend using a new leading era functionality development industry, there fundamental needs necessities describe clear understanding modes action production rates, activity, immune status, disease resistance farmed fish shrimp.
